Waterbased Coatings
1. Polymelt seal- 2501 (MVTR) : Since the product have good Moisture vapor transmission resistance it can be used to make:
- heat sealable paper for packing medical articles (syringes / latex gloves /band aids and many more)
- In combination with wax emulsion the product will replace HOT MELT coating in soap wrapper industry. Hot Melt requires special coating machine where as the “LTS” can be applied by normal gravure machine.
- Paper boxes can be coated from inside for packing of MITHAI and other eatables the “LTS” will ensure the freshness of products packed inside.
- In flexible packaging industry can be used as barrier coating on one layer of film which to maintain freshness and Aroma of the product packed in pouches. Since it has Heat Sealing Properties lamination of LLDP can be avoided in certain three ply laminates.
2. Polymelt seal- 2502 (Low Temp. Sealing) : This product will replace
- VMCH coating on Aluminum foil for blister application
- Solvent based coating on blister cards to pack tooth brushes/ batteries / pens / electronic items like head phones, computer mouse, Memory cards / toys and many more…
- Vinyl and acrylic coating on lidding foil to pack yogurt / fruit juices / pickles / mineral water
3. Polymelt seal- 2503 (Primer) : Mainly used as Extrusion primer to replace solvent based extrusion primer since the product has high Hot Tack properties it holds both the substrates quite during extrusion process.
4. Polymelt seal- 2504 (Anti Grease and Solvent coating) :
- It is 100% replacement for PVDC coating.
- Also can be used on substrates like paper, plastic films, Al. foil where solvent resistance and anti grease properties are required.
- Also useful in protective coatings on paper boxes of food stuff packing (like mithai) to maintain aroma and freshness.
- For making Anti Corrosive paper
- For coloring of perfume bottles to impart solvent resistance.
- many more end uses
All above products are Water based which eliminates hazards of solvents also confirms the FDA regulations hence can be used in Direct Food Contact.
